✏️🍎Thank you to Modern Woodmen for providing the Ridgedale Elementary & Jr./Sr. High School staff with breakfast on Wednesday!
Modern Woodmen also celebrated three Ridgedale staff members by awarding them with the Hometown Hero Award! The Hometown Hero Award was chosen using nominations that Ridgedale staff submitted celebrating their peers. To pay it forward, all three Hometown Hero Award winners will select a non-profit of her choosing in which Modern Woodmen will donate $100 on their behalf. Monday night was a special night on the fields of Ridgedale, recognizing our seniors and honoring Coach Dan Bollinger's legacy on Ridgedale's softball field. We are so proud of our senior athletes and their dedication to the programs. It is always bitter/sweet on these nights. Sad to see them go but excited for where they're headed. Congratulations Riley, Hannah and Ayden and keep rolling through tournament time!! It was an honor to also dedicate the softball field to Coach Dan Bollinger for the many years of service, leadership, and guidance he contributed to the program. Many successes both on and off the field were because of Dan and his passion to encourage kids. We thank all of his family and friends who were able attend the ceremony.

We CONGRATULATE all of the participants and their coaches on the successes of the Marion County JH Track Meet at Ridgedale on Wednesday evening!! The off and on rain didn't dampen the efforts shown by the athletes from all of the schools. It is always fun having the county teams competing with each other. Thank you to all of the workers and everyone who helped make the evening run smoothly. The Ridgedale track team completed a hog raffle fundraiser which was drawn last night. Congratulations to Shelbi Dean and Beth English for each being the lucky winners. Each winner receives a half of a hog with processing courtesy of the Kevin Boblenz family. A BIG thanks to all who purchased tickets and supported the team.

✨ Students in Mr. Dietsch’s class brought literature to life by creating their own “Boy in the Striped Pajamas” shoebox scenes!

Using creativity and attention to detail, students worked hands-on to recreate moments from the story. It was a fun and engaging way to deepen their understanding while showcasing their artistic talents. 🎨

🤖 Ridgedale at the National Robotics Challenge! 🤖

On April 16–17, Ridgedale students competed in the National Robotics Challenge in Marion, showcasing their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills.

🔹 Abi Place & Alexis Raby competed in Mini Sumo with their originally designed robots
🔹 Caleb Anderson & Mylez Crabtree competed in Robot Hockey with their custom-built bots
🔹 Pierson Smith competed in Rescue Robot, navigating using an FPV camera and headset

Mr. Sieg was very proud of the students’ hard work and innovation. Abi demonstrated strong autonomous coding skills, and she and Alexis designed their robot chassis using 3D CAD. Caleb’s hockey robot—built using a mini-fridge chassis—was nominated for the Honda Innovation Award, an honor among 450 robots at the competition!

As always, Ridgedale students represented us well—showing great sportsmanship and even helping students from other schools.

We are proud of all of our competitors and their accomplishments! 💙
