Monday’s Results: Varsity Girls defeated N. Baltimore 1720 to 1078. High game was Aubrie Smith with a 217. Aubrie also had high series with a 391. Varsity Boys defeated N. Baltimore 1846 to 1741. High game was Jayden Reynolds with a 209. Jayden also had high series with a 412. JV Boys defeated N. Baltimore 1390 to 1344. High game was Caden Cusimano with a 194. Congratulations to all the JH Boys and Girls 7th and 8th Grade Basketball Teams on their wins over Waynesfield Goshen. The 7th Grade Boys and 8th Grade Girls both went undefeated in league play on the season. All teams will be seeded on Wednesday to begin NWCC Tourney play. Good Luck Rockets!

Great spaghetti dinner and halftime entertainment by the HS/JH and Mini-Cheerleaders. *Tomorrow, JH Boys and Girls Basketball teams play WG to complete their regular seasons before conference tournament play. Good afternoon, Rocket families! This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility. We had 23 students join us for our first Career Cafe! Students from the Jr/Sr High were invited based on their aptitudes from their YouScience Discovery inventory. They were able to enjoy a special lunch and meet with registered nurses from Ohio Health to learn about the medical field. Did you know that Ohio Health has many careers besides nursing? In addition, they have a college tuition program where they will pay for college courses! Talk about a win-win opportunity! Check out OhioHealth.com/Careers to learn more! Preschool registration is now available for the 2023-24 school year. Information and applications are available on the website. Kindergarten registration will be held through our Expo! This will be on April 4, from 4-7pm. Please call the elementary to RSVP! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 15. Families with students in grades PK-2 are invited to our library night at the Marion Public Library from 6-7pm. Our goal is for all students to have access to the resources at the library, so come let us help you sign up for library card, find books, and do a craft! We are hiring a night custodian at the Jr/Sr High! If you are interested or know someone who is, please have them find the information on our website as soon as possible! Snow Day Athletic Updates! Tonight's HS boys Basketball game is postponed until Friday, 1/27 vs . Bucyrus, 6pm JV start. HS Bowling match vs. Pleasant is cancelled for tonight at Cooper Lanes - Reschedule date TBD. All JH/Youth games/practices are cancelled for today. Mini- Cheer practice is cancelled tonight and rescheduled for Thursday, 1/26 from 3:15-5:15pm. JH Boys and Girls Basketball will both play USV tomorrow instead of Mt. Gilead due to the league game needing to be made up. JH Boys will play at home and JH Girls will play @ USV. JH Girls will NOT be playing USV on Saturday now! Reminder that tomorrow night the Rocket Dribbling Club will perform at halftime of the HS Girls Basketball game vs. USV which starts at 6pm. Saturday night, plan to eat supper at the Ridgedale Musical Spaghetti Dinner from 4:30-8pm and watch the MIni-Cheer performance at halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball game. Reminder of some special events going on at Ridgedale this week! 🏀The Rocket Dribbling Club will perform at the HS Girls Basketball game Thursday, 1/26 during halftime of the varsity game which begins at 6pm. 🎼 The Musical Dept. will hold their Spaghetti Dinner Saturday night from 4:30-8pm. 🎼 Musical is also doing a fundraiser raffle for bundles of meat. Please see attached flier for information. 🤸‍♂️Mini Cheer Camp Performance will take place during halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball game vs. McComb on Saturday, 1/28. JV start is 5pm. Congratulations to the JH Boys and Girls basketball teams on their wins over Bucyrus, Saturday. Congratulations also to Nya Miller on her 2nd place finish at the Ridgedale Girls Wrestling Invite. She was also recognized for her accomplishments over the past 3 seasons as she competed in her last tournament at Ridgedale in her season season! Great job Nya! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy events in the buildings this week! Our first WinterFest was a success, and the Soup-er Supper was a hit! We have more fantastic events this week! First, if you have a student who is interested in taking College Credit Plus classes next year, you and your child should plan on attending the informational meeting tomorrow, Monday, January 23, at 7pm in the jr/sr high cafeteria. In addition, the Rocket Dribbling Club will be performing at the girls’ basketball game on Thursday, January 26, so if you missed them at the boys’ game on Friday, mark your calendars! This Saturday, January 28, the boys’ basketball team will be hosting McComb starting at 5:30pm. The Rocket Mini Cheer will perform. You can also support the Ridgedale Musical who will be hosting a spaghetti dinner from 4:30-8pm. For $7 a person, enjoy spaghetti, salad, a breadstick, dessert, and a beverage. All students in grades 6-12 were able to take this inventory, so if you have not had a chance to sit down and look at their results with them, I encourage you to do so! Congratulations to the JV Boys Basketball team on their win over Crestline and great effort by the Varsity Boys Basketball team on their close loss to Crestline. Keep working hard Rockets!

Today the following senior student-athletes were selected to represent Ridgedale at the annual Rotary Club luncheon at the Palace Pavillon.
