Another successful Career Cafe! This month we focused on careers in logistics and distribution and enjoyed lunch from Sansotta's! We had the highest attendance yet! Students were invited based on their aptitudes and interests! Great work, team!

Tri-Rivers partnering with the local school districts to help clean up community areas.
The Ridgedale/TRCC seniors and TRCC juniors/sophomores teamed up to clean up roads, school district property, and Morral Park.
Thanks to all of the TRCC teachers who helped lead groups and to Mr. Sparling, Mr. Green, Mrs. Guthrie and Ms. Leach for taking the lead for Ridgedale.
Special thanks to the Morral Park Maintenance group and the Morral Village Committee for providing help, snacks and water.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Deb Thomas and Mr. Brad Pottkotter for helping to organize the park clean up.
This is a great way to teach pride in a community!! Great job to all of the students who worked.

Those interested in Ridgedale YOUTH cheer (grades 2-6 next year) were given forms this week to return. Those that return the form will be contacted by the youth cheer coach, Erin Buckley, regarding the meeting on April 30th. Youth cheerleaders cheer for the youth football team in the Fall.

What is TRIO Talent Search you asked?

Marion Technical College’s TRIO Talent Search program wants to help them reach their goal of high school graduation, college, and a career. This free program will introduce your child to a variety of college and career options and then help them with the steps to get there! There is absolutely no cost to students or their families. Just fill out this application.
Program services include but are not limited to: academic advising and tutoring, assistance in selecting high school courses, mentoring, career information and exploration activities, ACT/SAT information and preparation, college planning and placement including assistance in completing college and financial aid applications (including the FAFSA and scholarships) financial literacy, and visits to colleges and universities

Upcoming event for Juniors at Ridgedale: TRIO has set up Campus Visits to Ohio University on April 27th. Those who are interested must be signed up with TRIO and have turned in permission slip. Seats are limited! There will also be an All-Junior Planning Day on May 11th. The purpose of this day is for TRIO to help Juniors prepare and plan for the milestones they will encounter during their senior year!

It was a beautiful day for some Rocket baseball! Proud of our team and the work they are putting in!



3rd - 5th graders were able to attend an author visit with Margaret Peterson Haddix (Strangers, Running out of Time) at Marion Palace Theatre with the help of Let's Read 20 and Marion Public Library. Loved learning about her process and inspiration!




Kindergarten - 2nd grade students were able to have a visit this week with author of "What Happens At School When You're Not There?" Edward Denecke. Each student went home with a copy of his book or a book that he illustrated. A great visit learning about dreaming big dreams!
