This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through our cornerstones of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
🚨Today is National Resource Officer Appreciation Day. We are especially thankful for our SRO, Deputy Eric Marsh. This is his third year with Ridgedale, and he has built strong relationships with our community and has been a leader in safety. This is a great time to remind our students and community if they see something, say something. Not only do we encourage you to reach out to our staff via phone, email, or ParentSquare, we also utilize the Safer Ohio School Tip Line, which is a free resource available to all Ohio schools and is monitored 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The tip line is an anonymous reporting system that accepts tips via call or text using 844-723-3764 (844-SaferOH). You can use the webform linked HERE or on our website as well.
✅The pre-school application window opened on February 1 and closes on May 1. Applications can be found on the district website or call Ms. Outcalt.
✅Mark your calendars for Kindergarten Expo on Thursday, March 19. Please call Ms. Outcalt to schedule your time. All information is also on our website.
✅The elementary is having a literacy night with the theme of Dive Into Reading. It will take place on Wednesday, February 25, from 4:30-6:00pm. There will be reading activities, STEM activities, and parent information. There will be no Power Hours on this night so families can join the literacy night fun.
✅Don’t forget there is no school tomorrow, Monday, February 16, in honor of Presidents’ Day.

🏀On Monday, high school boys’ basketball plays at Elgin.
🎳On Tuesday, our varsity boys’ bowling team and Maddie Webb will be competing in the District Bowling tournament at HP Lanes.
♥️🏀On Thursday, the elementary has spring pictures, and high school boys’ basketball plays at Waynesfield Goshen.
