Good Afternoon, Rocket Families!🚀
This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools. 🎉We have had a fantastic kick off to the third quarter this week! Jr/sr high students were welcomed back with freshly painted lockers in the perfect shades of red and blue! Elementary students were welcomed back by staff rocking to some music while they opened car doors! 🎉
🚨📚On Monday, our staff engaged in professional development to support our cornerstones of safety and learning. For safety, staff reviewed the following: the contents of their safety buckets, CPR and AED training, where all AEDs are located (including additional AEDs that were purchased through a grant), how to use the Nightlocks, the roles and responsibilities of our School Resource Officer. They also learned about Stop the Bleed and how to apply tourniquets. Thanks to Ms. Thiel and Nurse Pierson for their leadership on this! Additionally, all staff learned more about the State Local Report Card and how to use this knowledge in their instructional day. Jr/sr high staff engaged in training on behavioral leadership through Kid Whisperer training, and the elementary staff dug deeper into their new reading curriculum.
💙Our district Wellness Team, which includes our school social worker, school counselor, home–to–school liaison, and school nurse, were able to do some planning on this day as well. They are committed to sharing helpful tips, reminders, and resources to support students and families both in and out of school via ParentSquare communication. They are here to partner with you and look forward to supporting your family’s well-being!
👏We are proud of the strong start to the third quarter and grateful for the dedication of our staff and the support of our families and community. Together, we remain focused on creating a safe, welcoming environment and providing high-quality learning experiences that help every Ridgedale student reach their full potential.

🎳🏀On Tuesday, high school bowling competes at Blue Fusion against River Valley, jr. high girls’ basketball plays at home against Wynford, high school boys’ basketball plays at Seneca East, high school boys’ basketball plays at Wellington, and there is an elementary PTO meeting.
🏀On Wednesday, jr. high boys’ basketball plays at Elgin, and jr. high girls’ basketball plays at home against Elgin.
✅On Thursday, the Ridgedale Board of Education will hold its organizational meeting at 5pm with the regular meeting following.
🏀On Friday, high school boys’ basketball plays at home against Temple.
🤼🏀On Saturday, high school wrestling competes at Northridge, jr. high wrestling competes at Fostoria, jr. high girls’ basketball plays at Bucyrus, jr. high boys’ basketball plays at home against Bucyrus, and high school girls’ basketball plays at Elgin.
