Rocket Radar 1-4-26

Good Afternoon, Rocket Families!🚀

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools. As we welcome the New Year, it is hard to believe we are already halfway through the school year. This is a great time for families to pause and talk with their children about how the year is going so far and what goals they want to work toward as we finish strong together! Simple conversations can help students stay focused, feel supported, and build the habits they need for success in college, careers, the military, or entrepreneurship!

🎯Goal setting can look different at each age. For our youngest learners, this may mean choosing one small goal like reading a little each night. Upper elementary students can look at PowerSchool with a parent and set one academic goal and one habit goal, such as staying organized. Middle school students can talk about how today’s grades connect to future opportunities and choose a few short-term goals for the next month. High school students benefit from reviewing credits, grades, and graduation progress while connecting these to their post-secondary plans.

Staying engaged and encouraging, especially at the halfway point of the year, makes a real difference. Thank you for partnering with us to help every student stay on track and reach their full potential.
