This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where we are committed to empowering students to reach their full potential through our core values of learning, safety, community partnerships, and fiscal responsibility.
💡The countdown is on! We are in the final stretch of preparing for the new 2025-26 school year, and we are excited to welcome back students and staff! It is going to be a fantastic year as we continue to prepare our students for their unlimited future!
🛠As you may recall, the jr/sr high has been undergoing a huge process to replace our heating system while adding air conditioning. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we finalize all of the work. The new heating system will be up and running before the colder months, and the air conditioning is slated to be completed in the spring of 2026.
🚧The fencing project around the remainder of the playground as well as between the elementary and playground will be started soon. This project is made possible through a safety grant.
📱We are going to be moving to a new communication system called ParentSquare. Please see our website for information about how to download the app. This week’s call is from our old system, but a test call will be coming out later this week.
🎉Join us for Meet the Team this Thursday! The PTO, Boosters, and RHS Athletics have a fun-filled evening of activity stations, inflatables, concessions, Kona Ice, and "Dunk" your favorite staff member in the dunk tank. The fun kicks off at 5pm. Meet the Team will begin at 6pm, and we will conclude the evening at 7pm.
📚Open House for all students will take place on Monday, August 18, from 4-6pm. Meet your teachers and drop off your supplies. There will also be support stations set up to help you with transportation, food services, scheduling, and community partnerships. Don’t miss this evening!
🎒School starts on Tuesday, August 19. Remember that Preschool starts the following week, and kindergarten students have a staggered start.
