Ridgedale Local School District is seeking a qualified financial leader for the position of Treasurer. North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (NCOESC) is assisting the Board with its search. All applications will be reviewed by the Ridgedale Local School Board of Education.

About the District and Community

The Ridgedale Local School District is located in the village of Morral in Marion County. The district also includes the communities of Big Island, Brush Ridge, Kirkpatrick, Meeker, and northwestern Marion. The district is 121.64 square miles spanning parts of Marion, Wyandot, and Crawford Counties and serves approximately 650 students. The district serves students in grades K-12 in one K-5 building and one 6-12 building. The district is home to approximately 5,000 residents and is located just west of the US Route 23 corridor north of Marion, Ohio. Ridgedale not only partners with Tri-Rivers Career Center to provide students with additional options in career technical opportunities in Interactive Media, Criminal Justice, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and more, but also offers Agriculture, Engineering, education pathways, interactive media, and information technologies within the district.

The village of Morral is located within close proximity to US Route 23 and State Routes 231 and 423 providing easy access to major Ohio cities, shopping, universities, and the arts; all while maintaining a small-town atmosphere.

Treasurer Qualifications

Ridgedale Local Schools is seeking a licensed Treasurer with proven leadership capabilities, a passion for children, a commitment to the district and community along with administrative experience. The ideal candidate shall demonstrate the following financial leadership characteristics:

• Strong financial and detail-oriented reporting skills;

• Demonstrate knowledge of state and local funding issues, Ohio laws and regulations about public schools;

• Experience in effective process management and organizational skills;

• Expertise in developing, communicating, and managing business office procedures;

• Experience with and understanding of operating software and procedures;

• Proven ability to work with others – a team player;

• Ability to facilitate educational discussions/decisions through an economic perspective;

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and practical communication skills;

• Leadership skills for staff and various finance committees;

• Experience with contract negotiations.
