Weekly Update

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

You may have noticed a delay in the one calls for delays and cancellations. The company is working with their carriers as they are seeing delays in these calls with all of their clients. We have been in constant communication with them about this. In the meantime, be sure you are signed up for the emails and texts as they are going through in a timely manner. You can also check our website, social media, and local news sources. Thank you for your patience!

As a safety reminder, there should be no cars entering the backside of our buildings, that is the west side of our buildings, until after 3:15pm. This allows all of our buses to safely leave the campus. If you are attending an afterschool event, including athletic practices and events, please wait until after 3:15pm. This is essential for the safety of everyone.

This week, the jr. high boys’ basketball team will play North Baltimore at home, the jr. high girls’ basketball team will play at North Baltimore, and the high school girls’ basketball team will play at Elgin on Monday. On Tuesday, the bowling team will compete against North Baltimore at Cooper’s Bowl. On Thursday, jr. high girls’ basketball will play at Kenton, jr. high boys’ basketball will play against Kenton at home, and the high school girls’ basketball will play North Baltimore with youth night recognition. Jr. high wrestling will compete at Galion, and high school boys’ and girls’ basketball will compete at home against Madison Christian on Saturday. This will be mini cheer night as well.

Check out the Google Calendar on our website for all events! You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and the LiveFeed to see all of the amazing work being done in our schools!

If you are looking for a part-time job that provides flexibility and allows you to make a difference in our community, consider becoming a substitute in our schools! You can join our team as a substitute aide, teacher, cafeteria worker, custodian, secretary, and/or bus driver. Please fill out an application on our website, and email me to set up an interview.

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
