Weekly Update

Good afternoon, Rocket families!

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.

We have a meeting scheduled for families of students who are currently in grades 8 and 9 and are interested in going on the Washington DC trip. This meeting will take place this Wednesday, September 20, at 6:30pm in the junior/senior high school cafeteria.

There is still time to sign up for the first session of Triple P: Positive Parenting Program which will focus on behavior at school and bullying. This first session will be held this Thursday, September 21, from 5:30-7:30pm. Dinner will be provided so be sure to RSVP by tomorrow, Monday, September 18, by emailing Mrs. Weston at mweston@ridgedaleschools.org or call 740-383-2020 ext. 117.

Mark your calendars for Friday, September 22. There will be no school for students as staff will be having a professional development day.

Come support our Rockets at all of the exciting events we have this week! On Monday, JV volleyball will play at Gilead Christian while junior high volleyball plays at Hardin Northern. On Tuesday, we will be hosting our first home cross country meet in some years. We would love to have a great home crowd to cheer on our runners! The Varsity and JV volleyball teams will take on Ridgemont at home while junior high volleyball plays at Bucyrus. Junior high volleyball plays at Elgin on Wednesday. On Thursday, Varsity and JV volleyball will play Hardin Northern at home, and junior high football will also play at home against Hardin Northern. Golf will play at Waynesfield Goshen on Friday during the day while Varsity football travels to Hardin Northern in the evening. There is a JV volleyball invite on Saturday along with a JV football game versus Perry. Please check out all events on our Google Calendar by going to our website, clicking on “Menu,” and then clicking on “School Calendar.”

With all of our events going on, I wanted to remind you that we are a tobacco free campus. There is no smoking, vaping, or use of any other tobacco on our campus. Thank you for helping following this policy!

Thank you for all you do for our students, our staff, and our community! Make it a great week, and Go, Rockets!
