This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility.
You may remember that during Open House as part of our family engagement with Power Hours, Mrs. Weston asked families for feedback on topics they are interested in learning more about. She used this information to partner with Triple P: Positive Parenting Program to design the first of three sessions which will focus on behavior at school and bullying. This first session will be held on Thursday, September 21, from 5:30-7:30pm. Dinner will be provided so be sure to RSVP by Monday, September 18, by emailing Mrs. Weston at mweston@ridgedaleschools.org or call 740-383-2020 ext. 117.
I want to continue to remind families who are picking up and dropping off to be sure to pull all of the way to the end of each building and as close as possible to the vehicle in front of you to allow as many vehicles as possible in the driveway. If you have an elementary child who you need to buckle in, please pull into a parking spot after you pick up your child to keep traffic flowing. Make sure you are obeying the 20mph school speed zone, which is in effect anytime students are visible.
We have many events again this week, so if you are looking for something to do, come support our Rockets! Junior High volleyball will play USV at home on Monday. JV and Varsity volleyball will play Lima Temple Christian on Tuesday at home while Junior High volleyball will play at Ridgemont. Golf will play at the Ridgedale Invite on Wednesday. On Thursday, JV and Varsity volleyball will play at USV, and Junior High football will also play at USV. Varsity football will play USV at home on Friday. This is youth night. On Saturday, cross country will run in the Galion Cross Country Festival while the Varsity volleyball hosts an invite at home. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 22. There will be no school for students as staff will be having a professional development day.
