Weekly Update 4-28-24

Good afternoon, Rocket families! 

This is Erika Bower, Superintendent of Ridgedale Local Schools, where our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential while focusing on learning, safety, partnerships with our community, and fiscal responsibility. 

Enjoy the many events coming up this week! On Monday, high school softball and baseball will play at Perry, and junior high softball tournaments begin. On Tuesday, junior high track will compete at home while high school baseball plays at Temple Christian, and junior high baseball plays at Lincoln Park. High school baseball and softball play at Ridgemont, high school track competes at River Valley for the Marion County Meet, and junior high baseball is at Lincoln Park on Wednesday. We have students attending the FFA State Convention on Thursday and Friday. On Friday, high school baseball plays at Waynesfield-Goshen, high school softball plays at Pleasant, and junior high baseball plays at Lincoln Park. High school baseball plays at home against Mechanicsburg, and high school softball plays Arcadia at home on Saturday with a celebration of junior high and youth. Prom is also on Saturday night for juniors and seniors who purchase tickets. Please be safe, and have fun! 

Ohio State Testing also continues this week. Students in grades 3-5 will take the math test on Tuesday and Wednesday. High school students enrolled in American History and Government will test on Tuesday. Please be sure your child gets plenty of rest, eats breakfast at home or at school, and arrives at school on time with a charged chromebook.

Miss Friermood, Mrs. Crease, and some additional staff members will have 4 jam-packed days of travel and sightseeing with registered students. Some of the highlights of the trip include the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Smithsonian museums, Arlington National Cemetery, the WWII Memorial, and so much more!
