Ridgedale Local Schools Enrollment Procedure

Within Ridgedale Local Schools District

Visit the Ridgedale Local Schools website at ridgedaleschools.org click on Parent Links > Final Forms > New Student. If you do not have access to internet, you may visit the Ridgedale administration office. You are required to bring the following documents to the administration office in order to enroll a student:

  • Proof of Residency
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Child’s Social Security #
  • Immunization Records
  • Custody Papers (if applicable)
  • For children in special education programs, up-to-date Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Multi-factored Evaluation Team Report (MFE)
  • Grade Card
  • Transcript
  • Withdrawal Grades

Outside of the Ridgedale Local School District…

If you are planning to enroll with Ridgedale Schools and live outside of the Ridgedale Local Schools District, you MUST first apply and be accepted thru the open-enrollment process. All open enrollment applications must be turned into our Administration Office, located between the Elementary and the Bus Garage. You can print the open enrollment application by clicking here. If you have questions regarding open-enrollment, please call 740-382-6065. Once you are approved for open enrollment, you may start the enrollment process (please see above).

Instructions for Completing Interdistrict Open Enrollment Application

Interdistrict Open Enrollment Applications must be completed annually. Those students already approved through existing open enrollment applications will be given priority over new applicants. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis. It is important that you follow the process stated below.

Completely fill out one Open Enrollment application per child.

The form can be found by clicking here. Forms must be returned on or before June 1, 2021. All later applications will be considered based on enrollment in the requested class on a case-by-case basis.

Parents/guardians will be notified by mail of acceptance status by July 10, 2021.

There are various open enrollment bus stops. If your child is accepted as an open enrollment student, you will be contacted by our transportation department as to which bus stop your child will be using.
