Weekly Update from Ridgedale Elementary

August 24, 2026

Quick Notes & Highlights

  • We had an action packed week! Thank you to the hundreds of people who attended Open House on Monday. We love seeing our students get so much support!
  • Mrs. Werling's Chicken Nuggets (class nickname) presented me with a beautiful array of wardrobe choices with their own version of The Principal's New Clothes.
  • Mrs. Kroninger's class got to use craft materials to make original creations in class this week.
  • Students did a great job with the temporary changes in the cafeteria as we complete repairs in the kitchen.

Important Information

  • Students will be bringing home a paper with a card you can complete that can be used should your child ever be come lost or abducted. This service is provided by American Income Life Insurance. I have personally confirmed that this is a service they are providing and is in no way an attempt to sell their product. Cards can be returned to your child's teacher.
  • REMINDER - Transportation changes should be made before 2:00 pm whenever possible. Please send a note with your child or call the office for same-day changes. With busy schedules, ParentSquare, Class Dojo, and email aren't always able to be checked until after school.
  • Chromebooks are not being sent home this year unless there is a specific assignment that needs completed.
  • Power Hours forms have been sent home. Please return them ASAP. Power Hours begins sooner this year - Sept. 8th.
  • Where's Ms. O? - We all know that Ms. Outcalt is an amazing school secretary. She's so amazing that she got a promotion! You can find Ms. O in the admin building as the district attendance coordinator. Mrs. Leanne Wheeler has joined us from the high school and is loving the energy of our kiddos.

Annual PTO Mum Sale!

Ridgedale PTO is excited to announce that Harvest Mum Buddies are coming back! Nothing says “fall” like a porch full of mums. Start with your own order (trust us your front porch will thank you), then hit up friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers.

Here are some of the ways we were able to support our students and teachers with your help from this fundraiser last year:
● Field trips for multiple grades
● Student of the Month pizza reward lunch
● Kindergarten graduation t-shirts
● Lunch for teachers during conferences

We’re offering two great products this year:
● A premium greenhouse quality mum
● Fall themed tin character pot (Mum Buddy).

Important dates:
● Kick Off: Monday, August 24, 2026
● Orders Due: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 - All money and order forms must be returned.
Please make checks payable to Ridgedale Elementary PTO
● Pick-up: Saturday, September 19, 2026, 9:30am - 12:00pm

Online sales:
● Visit www.fundraiseit.org → “Online Shopping” → Enter child’s last name, first name,
and school name
● Online sales close Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 11:59pm.

Prizes:
● Sell 1 item - Principal’s treasure chest
● Sell 5 items - Mini squishy toy
● Sell 10 items - Book Vending Machine token
● Sell 15 items - Large squishy toy
● Sell 20 items - Silly String Party

Every purchase supports our students, teachers, and families.
