American Welding Society Columbus Section Scholarship $9,000
The applicants choice of study will determine the focus of the selection committee.  Those pursuing welding should demonstrate excellence in welding; strong academic performance is appreciated.  Those pursuing welding technology should show academic performance and welding experience.  Those pursuing welding engineering should demonstrate excellence in academic; performance especially in math and the sciences; experience with welding is beneficial.

America's Farmers Grow AG Leaders                     $1,500 Scholarships
This process is managed by the National FFA Scholarship program, but applicants do not have to be FFA members.  Students need three farmer endorsements of the application. Farmers have until February 1, 2014 to endorse applications.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) Outstanding Senior High Youth Award
Scholastic Ability:

A.  Applicant shall be a senior high student who meets one of the three academic qualifications:  Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 grade scale or a minimum ACT score of 22 or SAT score of 1030 (Verbal and Math).
B.  The applicant shall provide a copy of the most recent and "certified" transcript to verify grades and/or test scores.
Character and Leadership Skills:
A.  The applicant shall provide the judging committee with three (3) letters of recommendation.  At least one recommendation shall be from a teacher or school official.  Recommendations shall not be submitted from members of the applicant's family.  Recommendations shall be originals of recent (current) year.
B.  The applicant shall provide a personal essay.  The essay topic shall be "What is the definition of an outstanding individual and how do I personally meet this definition?"  There is no specified length requirement; however, type written essays are preferred.  The sessay must be an original, which is signed and dated by the applicant.

 1. Parents/legal guardians of applicants must be members of Marion County Farm Bureau.
 2.  Parents/legal guardians and applicant must be residents of Marion County.

- Applicants are Ohio high school seniors planning to major in a field relevant to our indeustry,   particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications at an Ohio college or           university.

Purposeis to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying Ohio high school
seniors who are planning to attend a college/university located in the state of Ohio for fall

the following criteria (100 total points).
-Documentation of High School GPA (30 total points)
-Extracurricular activities/leadership activities within the community, school or church (20      points)
