Marion Community Foundation Scholarships
Our program includes more than 75 scholarship funds. Last year, Marion Community Foundation awarded $322,000 to 116 scholarship recipients. Each scholarship has different eligibility requirements and selection criteria. Scholarship award amounts vary from $10,000 to $250.

Marion County Youth Foundation
This foundation is available to assist outstanding young individuals or youth
groups in Marion County toward further achievement of their goals in academic, vocational, or extra-curricular activities.
Applicants must be between the ages of 10-25

Marion Lecture Recital Club (2) $750 Scholarships
Any high school senior who is planning to attend an accredited college and plans to major in the field of music.
Please see the guidance office for an application.

Marion Rotary Scholarship
*Applicants must be a Marion County resident, and be a graduating senior from a
Marion County High School
*Children and grandchildren of Marion Rotary Club members are not eligible.

Requirements:
* 2.5 or higher GPA
* Successful completion of proficiency exams.
* Completed FAFSA by May 1.

McDonald's Celebrate Black History Scholarship (2) $5,000 Awards
Student Eligibility:
1. Must be attending an accredited two or four-year institution of higher education full-time in fall of 2017
2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
3. Must be available to attend the awards luncheon the first week of May 2017 in the Columbus, Ohio area to accept the scholarship

MCO Scholarship 1-$500 Award

Student Eligibility:
Be attending college or university no later than December of 2015.
Be attending college or university on a full-time basis by December of 2015.
Submit an answer to the essay question no later than 11:59 PM EST on May 15, 2015.
Be currently in your last year of high school or a freshman, sophomore or junior in college/university.

Fred & Lena Meijer Scholarship 2 - $10,000 & 100+ - $2,500
Full or part-time Meijer team members or children of full or part-time meijer team members
Awards are based on financial need, academic standing, a statement of aspirations and goals, and the applicant's community involvement.
You will need Employee ID and Unit Number along with a current school transcipt to complete the online application.
It is the applicant's responsibility to follow up with the college financial aid office to ensure that our Financial Information Form is received by April 15.

Mensa Foundation
Accepting applications for scholarships. Awards will be based on essays submitted online.

Merck Respiratory Will to Win Scholarship Program (10) $5,000 Scholarships

Eligible applicants must be high school seniors with asthma; have achieved a high level of excellence in one of the following: performing arts, visual arts, community service,

To qualify a student must:
Plan to or currently be enrolled at an accredited Ohio college, university or technical school.
Have declared or plan to declare a major relating to environmental sciences or environmental education.

Timothy J. Millisor Memorial Scholarship $3,000 in scholarships
Criteria: Good students who are active in their school. Sports, clubs, band, etc.

Minority Journalism Scholarship $1,500 Scholarship
- Applicants are Ohio high school seniors planning to major in a field relevant to our indeustry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications at an Ohio college or university.
- Awardee must be enrolled as a college freshman at an Ohio college or university.
- Minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 (C+) required, transcript must be included.
- Applicants must be African America, Hispanic, Asian American or American Indian.
- Application form must be typed or printed legibly by the applicant.
- Student must demonstrate the ability to write clearly in an autobiography of 750-1,000 words, describing academic and career interests, awards, extracurricular activities and any journalism-related activities.
- Applications must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation from high school faculty members familiar with the student's work and career interests.
- Students may provide additional information such as samples or articles that have been published (limit to two, please).
